Copyright owners or authorized representatives who believe content available through Arena Battles infringes their copyright may submit a written notification to Arena Battles' designated copyright agent.
A valid DMCA notice generally must contain the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3).
03DMCA Designated Agent
Notices of claimed copyright infringement should be directed to:

04Copyright Infringement Notices
To submit a notification of claimed copyright infringement, please provide a written notice containing substantially the following information:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, where multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notice, a representative list of those works.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing or the subject of infringing activity, together with information reasonably sufficient to allow Arena Battles to locate the material.
- Information reasonably sufficient to allow Arena Battles to contact the complaining party, such as:
- name;
- mailing address;
- telephone number;
- and email address, if available.
- A statement that the complaining party has a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.
05Locating the Reported Material
Copyright notices should identify the allegedly infringing material as specifically as reasonably possible.
Helpful information may include:
- Arena Battles username;
- team name;
- profile URL;
- team URL;
- match URL;
- content description;
- file name;
- screenshot;
- or other information that allows Arena Battles to identify the material.
A general statement that infringing material exists somewhere on Arena Battles may not provide enough information for us to locate it.
06Review of Copyright Notices
Upon receiving a sufficiently complete copyright notice, Arena Battles may review the notice and take appropriate action.
This may include:
- removing the identified material;
- disabling access to the material;
- requesting additional information;
- notifying the affected user;
- preserving relevant records;
- or declining to remove material where the notice is incomplete or does not establish a sufficient basis for action.
Where applicable, Arena Battles may act expeditiously in response to valid notices.
07Notice to the Affected User
Where appropriate, Arena Battles may notify a user when content they submitted has been removed or disabled because of a copyright complaint.
The notice may include:
- identification of the removed material;
- information regarding the copyright complaint;
- instructions for submitting a counter-notification where available;
- and other relevant information.
Arena Battles may withhold information where disclosure is inappropriate or legally restricted.
08Counter-Notifications
If you believe your material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification, you may be able to submit a counter-notification under the DMCA.
A counter-notification should be submitted in writing to the Arena Battles Copyright Agent identified in Section 3.
09Counter-Notification Requirements
A counter-notification should include the information required by applicable law, including:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the material that was removed or disabled;
- the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled;
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address, and telephone number;
- and the legally required consent to jurisdiction and acceptance of service of process.
Because these requirements carry legal consequences, users may wish to consult an attorney before submitting a counter-notification.
10Restoration Following Counter-Notification
Where Arena Battles receives a valid counter-notification, we may provide it to the complaining party as required or permitted by law.
Where applicable, Arena Battles may restore the removed material after the statutory process has been completed unless the copyright claimant informs us that appropriate legal action has been filed seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.
Submission of a counter-notification does not guarantee that material will be restored.
11Misrepresentations
Users and copyright claimants must act in good faith when submitting notices or counter-notifications.
Knowingly making material misrepresentations regarding whether content is infringing or was removed by mistake may result in legal liability.
Arena Battles may also take action under its policies where a person knowingly abuses the copyright-reporting process.
12Repeat Infringers
Arena Battles may terminate or restrict accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyrights where appropriate.
Arena Battles may consider factors including:
- the number of valid copyright complaints;
- the nature of the alleged infringement;
- account history;
- whether material was restored following a counter-notification;
- evidence of repeated misconduct;
- and other relevant circumstances.
Arena Battles may also act against serious infringement without waiting for repeated violations.
13Account and Content Enforcement
Copyright-related actions may include:
- removing content;
- disabling access to content;
- restricting uploads;
- issuing warnings;
- temporarily restricting an account;

Creating a team on Arena Battles does not grant a user rights to:
- another organization's logo;
- professional team branding;
- copyrighted artwork;
- photographs;
- trademarks;
- or other third-party intellectual property.
Arena Battles may remove disputed team branding where appropriate.
15Match Evidence
Match evidence may contain copyrighted material, including game footage, screenshots, broadcasts, or other media.
Submitting material as match evidence does not necessarily mean the user owns all copyrights in that material.
Arena Battles may retain or process evidence as reasonably necessary to administer competition, disputes, enforcement, legal obligations, or platform security.
Copyright owners may still submit infringement notices regarding material accessible through the platform.
16Fair Use and Other Legal Exceptions
Not every use of copyrighted material constitutes infringement.
Certain uses may be permitted by:
- fair use;
